Debra Mason, Director
Mason is among the leading U.S. scholars of how religion is portrayed in the news media. She brings more than 30 years of professional and scholarly experience to her position as director of the Center on Religion and the Professions, an interdisciplinary center at the MU School of Journalism that works to improve the religious literacy of professionals, to help them serve a diverse public.

Sheila Holder, Business Manager
Holder joined the Center in 2013. She has more than six years fiscal experience at the University of Missouri. Prior to that, Holder had more than 20 years experience in office management in the construction industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northeast Missouri State University, now Truman State University.
In her spare time, Holder enjoys spending time with her grandson and is actively involved in pet therapy volunteering.
