Pink Hijab Day- Fighting Breast Cancer together

October 28th is Global Pink Hijab day. The day is inteded to shatter stereotypes of Muslim women, and raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Muslims participate worldwide by wearing pink hijabs, ribbons, and caps and donating to to fight cancer. There will be a tablet at Memorial Union from 10 am to 3 pm with Baklava, henna tattoos, Breast Cancer information and we will be accepting donations for the Susan G. Komen foundation. On Wednesday night there will be a panel on activism and stereotypes of Muslim women at 7 pm in Mumford 133.
