As part of its ongoing lecture series, the MU Dialogue Club will host a lecture from MU Religious Studies professor Robert Baum titled “Freedom of Expression, Freedom from Sacrilege, and Enduring Tensions between the Islam and the West.” Baum serves as chair of the Religious Studies department at MU, and his primary area of research interest is indigenous African religions. The event is intended to promote awareness of religious differences and foster a diverse discussion of interests on the topic of religious freedom and tolerance.
