Shirin Ebadi, the first Iranian and first Muslim woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2003, speaks on “Human Rights and the Rights of Women and Children.”
A resident of Tehran and Iran’s first female judge, she was dismissed from her post during the Iranian revolution. Ebadi now is an attorney in private practice, law professor, author and human rights activist.
